News and Events
The cooking and conviviality continue this spring at Park Congregational Church in Grand Rapids!
Terrie Loomis, Christian Ed Director for Park (Congregational) UCC and I are teaching a cooking class!
We'll be meeting once a month on a Monday evening to cook dinner together. Actually, you'll be cooking dinner with our help...I'm in charge of the meal; Terrie is in charge of the decorating. We'll be inviting people to explore new recipes, new ideas about life.
Everyone is welcome! Whether you are a single, or partnered, a young couple or empty-nesters, there will be something for you here--even if it's just the conversation (that's for all you picky eaters out there!)
MARCH: March's theme will be "Soup and Sides".
Come join us in making delicious hearty soups that will warm your soul. We will also be showing you a variety of wonderful side dishes to complement this meal.
This class is coming up fast! So mark your calendars for Monday March 1st at 7:00pm.
We had a great time last Monday! We made classic minestrone, garlic walnut soup with avocado and basil, apricot and cream tartlets, and smoked salmon and cucumber crudites, just to name a few. It was a lovely evening of learning, chatting, cooking, and sharing a meal. Join us in April!
APRIL: April's theme will be announced in the next few weeks, but mark your calenders for APRIL 19, 2010.
Join us for a delicious evening of exploring our senses of smell, sight and taste.
Sign up soon, classes fill up fast! Cost: $25.00
Call the church (616.459.3203, ext. 14), sign on attendance pads at Park, or email Terrie at thunter@parkchurchgr.org.
We hope to see you there!
